Fred Barnes to McCain: “LOOK! THERE’S SOME HOMOS!”

Please tell me that the McCain campaign will not be stupid enough to listen to Fred Barnes. Is that the best Republicans can talk about on Fox? Barnes says and I quote,

We know Barack Obama is for allowing gays in the military, and Bill Clinton tried to do, but backed off. This is not a popular issue. Gay marriage is another one. These are both issues that I think McCain’s going to have to use. You can’t ignore the right. If he does, he’ll lose.

That’s the defining characteristic for McCain? Barnes makes how much per year? I’m serious, this is straight from Barnes and I put it below for you to watch:

Don’t get me wrong here. I’m not in favor of special homosexual rights anymore than I am for folks in the military committing the Class 3 misdemeanor here in Virginia known as Adultery. The “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is just fine. However, this simply can’t be the defining factor for McCain. It’s one factor but certainly not a factor that is going to get him elected. We’re going to have to get a better message to define this election instead of trivial issues such as this.
