A used car salesman is someone we can’t respect. Why? He’s deceitful. And so it is that there exists an unlikely alliance, improperly so called, that would have us believe that there really is climate change caused by man. But before we imbibe in this most soured wine, you must ask yourselves, who, just who is the alliance? Could you possibly guess this riddle? In your wildest dreams would you have believed? Knowing the answer, I certainly wouldn’t. After all, I am a most proud graduate of Regent University School of Law, that bastion of right wing nutcase Christian conservatives.
Yes indeed. This most unholy alliance is the spawn of pragmatism, Pat Robertson and Al Sharpton. They call their unholy alliance, ”We can solve it.” You can find these two political eunuchs here. What white and black trash I tell you! Never in the history of man vs. man have I been so ashamed. Two alleged ‘men of God,’ improperly so called, claim that they are bound together for the sake of saving the world. What filth I tell you. Yes, they are filthy. One a liberal marxist Christian pragmatist and the other, an abortion in China supporting self-professed, a little socialism is good, Christian pragmatist….hmmmm? You don’t know who is who, do you? Does the following ad help you?
But this lack of real difference isn’t unique. Obama and McCain really aren’t that different. I ask you to take a look at the following email exchange I had with a few folks. Here’s my email posted first and then the response. Someone please tell me I’m wrong?

There’s not a damn bit of difference between McCain and Obama except, if we give McCain the benefit of the doubt, he’d veto what he claims is $100 billion per year in earmarks. (FYI, the Citizens Against Government Waste research shows about 17.8 billion in earmarks in existence while the communist research service has pegged it at about $67 billion. But these folks just harass politicians so they’re not worth what you clerks have heard so often, cum grano salis.) The problem is that a veto of earmarks isn’t cutting the federal budget. It has nothing to do with the federal budget. While the size of the earmarks may sound legion to the poor attorneys here, myself chief among that group who won’t allow others to outdo him on that score, 100 billion is a rather tiny, paltry, and insignificant fraction of the 3.10 trillion dollar federal budget for 2009. Both Obama and McCain have pledged to increase the size of the federal government. And, among other things, McCain refuses to climb down from his global warming tree, to pass tax cuts, stop pandering to illegals, or rectify his 1st Amendment toilet paper. In a word, he is no conservative but the worst man to insure Republican defeats for years to come. He is in fact, a socialist Benedict Arnold. (To wit, he voted for the government welfare bailout of the banks and idiot borrowers.) But that’s not all.
There’s only so much a true conservative or a true Constitutionist can take. Everytime I hear Obama I am reminded of the unsavory and colossal stupidity we have with McCain. My conscience will be clean this election cycle. I’m going with the man that Robert E. Lee would vote for—one who would uphold the Constitution: Chuck Baldwin. Sure he’ll lose but Robert E. Lee took command knowing that same premise. It’s not enough to ask what would Jesus do but rather we must ask what Jesus would have YOU do. God calls us to do things that are principled and that means sometimes, voting not for who has the best chance of winning but to vote for the best man for the job. To do otherwise is like saying, “Jesus? Heck of a fellow. Wow that was a great speech on the Mount. But I’m going with the Romans because they have a better chance.”
There is only one way to get the politicians in the Republican Party back on track after the single largest increase in the size of the federal government since LBJ. Politicians only understand pain or pleasure. My insignificant vote and lack of contributions will be one of a 1,000,000 pin pricks. The latest polls show it with Obama carrying a 9 point lead. The Republican Party will have no place to go but up in 2012 and bring real change that the people want. Ya’ll know McCain is going to lose so don’t fight it. Vote your conscience.

Feel better? I’ve done my share of venting as well, and the steam it releases is a salve to the disgruntled mind.
I think we’re (pretty much) all on board with the idea that McCain is no conservative. Just this morning I remarked to a Democrat friend that they have two nominees and we have none.
There is a difference, however, between McCain and Obama. Fiscally, the difference is smallish — McCain has pledged not to raise taxes, Obama has promised the opposite. In a faltering economy, that’s not unimportant. Government expenditures will grow frighteningly under both, and McCain still believes in the economy-choking pointlessness of cap-and-trade. For that calumny we will mock him when he speaks of matters economic. And it is true that McCain despises free speech, and is doing his best to disembowel the First Amendment. For that, he shall forever be banned from the Federalist Society. We all know the list of offenses against conservatives; not the least of which is the perverted pride he takes in stomping on most of what we have tried to accomplish over the past 28 years.
